AIF Category III
AIF Category III funds are high-risk investment vehicles for experienced investors that employ complex and active trading strategies, including leverage, to generate high returns. They trade in listed and unlisted securities and derivatives, often pairing long-term securities investment with short-term tactical calls.
Meant for high- and ultra-high networth individuals with a higher risk outlook & prior experience with similar instruments, they are taxed at the fund level.
Min entry: INR 100 lakhs
AIF CAT II (VC) + Unlisted Equity
Venture Capital is a focused form of unlisted equity, often accessed via Category II AIF’s. These are SEBI‑regulated pooled fund that taps private equity, real estate, and structured debt. It offers modern portfolios a compelling mix: diversification beyond listed markets in high‑growth private businesses.
Meant for mass affluent, HNI’s and Ultra HNI’s with very high risk outlook, they are taxed at the investor’s level.

Portfolio Management Services
PMS comprises fund-based themed equities, majorly investing in public listed companies, other mutual funds & debt funds among others. Most PMS baskets would limit their portfolio to 30-35 stocks, taking a “long-only” approach, while some use a “long-short” approach. This allows funds to make tactical short-term calls whenever an opportunity arises.
Meant for high networth individuals with high risk outlook, they are taxed at the investor’s level with a dedicated demat account per investor.
Min entry: INR 50 lakhs
Structured Debt
India’s growing consumer landscape allows sophisticated investors to participate in carefully crafted debt strategies. Instruments such as Realty Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) and Invoice discounting offer investors higher, fixed interest payments compared to bank deposits, generally without equity ownership or conversion rights.
They may be secured or unsecured, insured or uninsured yet fixed-income debt instruments generally issued to raise bridge capital for projects or invoices.
Min entry: varies by product and issuer
Mutual Funds
Mutual funds are regulated instruments that pool investors’ money, professionally investing in diversified assets like stocks, sovereign bonds, gold, silver and real estate among others.
Their purpose is to grow wealth with risk managed through portfolio diversification. They are considered one of the best instruments for tax efficiency while still growing with the national economy.
The very design of Mutual Funds allows one to hedge investments against more aggressive bets while still maintaining compounding annualised growth.
